The Coal Creek Armory Outpost couse is the class you need to pass to apply for a State of Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit.  This course prepares students for the state written and range tests.

This course covers:

• Federal and TN Laws relating to handgun carry
  When the use of Deadly Force is Justified
  Criminal and Civil Liabilities
  Permit Qualification and Application Procedure
  Firearm Safety and Maintenance
  Handgun and Ammunition Knowledge
  A Review of Basic Marksmanship and Range Protocol

Graduates of this course will receive the certification required to apply for a State of Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit.

Shooting qualification is required and takes place at our indoor range.  Forty-eight rounds are shot: 12 rounds at three yards, 24 at seven and 12 at fifteen.

You need to be able to load & unload the firearm you are using and operate it correctly and safely in order to participate in this class.  No exceptions!  If you do not know how to preform the tasks above, you will not be permitted to take the carry permit class.  You would either need to sign up for our basic handgun class, or have someone that is knowledgeable about firearms to give you proper instruction and then practice before taking the TN Handgun Carry Permit Class.
