As some of you may remember. In March we announced that we would be giving away a CCA custom built 1911 pistol to a local combat wounded veteran.

A committee was formed of combat veterans representing each branch of our military forces. The committee was given the very difficult and daunting task of choosing a recipient of the 1911.

After months of meetings and countless hours spent reviewing applications. One name was always at the top of the list: Captain Mark Brogan United States Army.

We will be presenting the CCA 1911 pistol to Captain Brogan at the East Tennessee Military Affairs Council (ETMAC) 29th Annual Awards and Recognition Luncheon Friday, November 11 at 12:30 pm @ The Knoxville Convention Center.

Everyone at Coal Creek Armory would like to congratulate Captain Brogan! You have certainly earned it!
